Looking for an opportunity to gain hands on experience and real world application, the students of the Montgomery Broadcast program partnered with PDC Spas, a prominent hot tub and swim spa manufacturer to create a series of video commercials and short features.
Unlike your average field trip, these students spent hours, weeks learning about the Williamsport, PA based spa company and their legacy of American manufacturing.
After gathering video footage of the production process, interviewing employees and even visiting a local customer’s home, the students pieced together their creative vision. They conceptualized, wrote copy, filmed and edited the project with both pride and passion.
Entered into the 2018-19 Pennsylvania Press Club High School Journalism contest, the Montgomery Broadcast team was honored with 2nd place awards for the PDC Spas videos in it’s respective category.
